EMRC hosts regular Community liaison meetings at the Red Hill waste management facility. The meetings provide a forum for information exchange and communication between the organisation, local residents and other stakeholders.
The meetings are held at the Red Hill waste management facility, 1094 Toodyay Road, Red Hill.
Notice of Red Hill community liaison meetings is advertised in the Hills Gazette and Midland Kalamunda Reporter at least 2 weeks prior to the meeting.

The Red Hill Open Day is held every two years on the first Saturday in November.
2010 Wrap-Up
A number of visitors attended the 2010 Red Hill open day on 6 November 2010 for a behind-the-scenes look at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility's operations and education centre. Visitors enjoyed interesting and informative tours of the site, including the transfer station; landfill operations; methane gas and power generation centre, compost and mulch facility; household chemical waste operations; and the environmental management of the site (rehabilitated areas and wildlife).
The open day also recognised this year's EMRC Community Grant recipients with a small awards ceremony. Thirteen groups were awarded funding under the program:
