As part of the ACER Program, the Home Energy Audit Kit was developed as a community resource. The kit contains a variety of tools which allow residents to conduct an energy audit within the privacy of their home, and increase their understanding of energy use and sustainability.
Some of the tools in the kit include:
One of the key outcomes of the kit will be the gathering of data and information which will allow EMRC and participating councils to better cater to the needs and requirements of local communities and businesses when developing information, workshops, and presentations.
Kits are now available at selected libraries within Perth's Eastern Region; just like borrowing a book or DVD. The Town of Bassendean, City of Bayswater and City of Belmont have implemented kits in their main libraries.
Please contact your local council for more information and availability.
If you would like more information regarding ordering or purchasing kits, please contact the Environmental Projects Officer (details below).
The City of Bayswater have launched four new Home Energy Audit Kits into main branch libraries. The kits are available to borrow; just like a book or DVD.
Please ask your local librarian for more information about borrowing a kit to audit your home.
The Shire of Capel recently took delivery of four Home Energy Audit Kits which will be placed into the Iluka Capel Public Library and other district libraries in the near future.
Please contact the Shire of Capel Environmental Health Officer for more information.
