Local businesses in Perth’s Eastern Region will have the opportunity to gain an insight into local government tenders through a forum to be held at the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) on Wednesday 9 May 2018.

EMRC Chief Executive Officer, Peter Schneider said, “The Doing More Business with WA Local Government workshop will provide businesses with an insight into the process which may give them a competitive edge when it comes to competing for tenders.”

Alison Maggs, from the WA Local Government Association (WALGA), will present the forum on topics such as local government tendering, criteria and process, pricing, key tips on preparing responses, quotations, eQuotes, and becoming a preferred supplier.

For the convenience of sole traders and companies with small staff numbers, the workshop will be held at business friendly hours, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the EMRC Administration Building, 226 Great Eastern Highway, Belmont.

“This business seminar proved to be very popular in 2016, so I encourage businesses to register early to secure their place,” Mr Schneider said.

Register by emailing your name, business, contact details and any dietary requirements (as light refreshments will be served) to Aimee Kontor via regionaldevelopment@emrc.org.au or (08) 9424 2226.
