EMRC and its member Councils partnered with Curtin University to host seven community public transport forums throughout Perth's Eastern Region during October and November 2010.
The forums engaged with over 150 community members to plan a preferred rapid transport plan that EMRC will present to the state government for planning consideration. The forums included interactive workshops facilitated by Curtin University planning students.
EMRC also held a public transport forum for local government representatives from various disciplines to provide their feedback on future public transport for the region.
Curtin University has prepared a written report collating all feedback received from the community and member Councils, to be utilised by EMRC as an advocacy tool. The report will be presented to relevant ministers and members of parliament to secure a commitment for increased public transport for Perth's Eastern Region, as envisioned by the community.
The report on the findings for the forums can be downloaded below. Please note that the report has been split into the seven sections due to the file size.
