Water auditing service

Looking for ways to save water in your organisation? You might be surprised how much you can save with just a good strategy in place.

EMRC is now offering a comprehensive water auditing service.

EMRC Environmental Consultants have undertaken a Department of Water, Water Corporation and Curtin University accredited Water Efficiency Auditing course and achieved Waterwise Auditor accreditation. See:

The water auditing service is now able to be offered to your organisation.

With the current water shortage in Perth, water conservation and water use efficiency is a high profile issue.

Providing a means to develop precision in schemes for water conservation (finding ways to obtain a service without using water), water use efficiency (obtaining the same service using less water) and water management; a water audit assesses historical water use, current water using appliances and practices, both indoor and outdoor, and develops recommendations for improving water-use efficiency.

The water audit provides:

• an analysis of historical water use;
• an on-site survey and assessment of water-using hardware, fixtures, equipment, landscaping, and management practices to determine the efficiency of water use;
• an inspection for any leaks;
• a range of practical and cost effective measures for reducing consumption;
• annual financial savings, payback periods and return on investment for the various water saving initiatives suggested; and
• further recommendations stemming from the audit.

To date, water audits have been undertaken for:

• Bilgoman Aquatic Centre (Shire of Mundaring);
• Mundaring Recreation Ground (Shire of Mundaring);
• City of Belmont Operations Centre; and
• City of South Perth Civic Centre.
