The Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) is furthering its support for local business development with sponsorship of the 2020 EMRC Business Person of the Year at the prestigious 27th Belmont & Western Australia Small Business Awards.
Providing recognition and encouragement for small business achievements, the Awards celebrate small businesses, individuals and organisations in Belmont, the Perth metropolitan area and across regional Western Australia. Applications are open until 26 October 2020.
The EMRC 2020 Business Person of the Year award category is open to small businesses located anywhere in Western Australia.
A major provider of services in waste management, resource recovery and urban and natural sustainability, the EMRC works alongside its six member Councils, industry bodies, government agencies and other stakeholders and provides a model of successful collaboration delivering tangible benefits to Perth’s Eastern Region.
EMRC CEO Marcus Geisler said, ‘The EMRC is proud to support the Belmont Business Awards with our sponsorship of the EMRC Business Person of the Year. Our commitment to the economic health and vitality of Perth’s Eastern Region has a strong focus on small business growth through a wide variety of initiatives. Applicants for the Belmont & Western Australian Small Business Awards can benefit from a wide range of support in preparing their submission, including award entry kits, workshops, webinars and access to award mentors who can assist with tips when preparing award submissions.
Winners will be announced at the ‘Night of Stars’ event taking place in the Ballroom of the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre on Thursday 26 November 2020.
