Local Laws
Local laws govern activities on land that is owned or managed by the EMRC, as well as certain activities conducted on private land.
Local laws have the status of legislation and are enforceable.
Local laws must be reviewed every eight years.
Standing Orders Local Law 2013
The Standing Orders Local Law provides for the orderly conduct of meetings of Council and Committees and gives guidance to the community in regard to the meeting process. This is a consolidated local law which incorporates amendments gazetted on 26 June 2013 (Government Gazette No.103).

Waste Management Facilities Local Law 2019
The Waste Management Facilities Local Law provides for the orderly regulation of the disposal of waste and the payment of fees for that disposal at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility and the Hazelmere Resource Recovery Park. This is a consolidated local law which incorporates amendments gazetted on 3 January 2020 (Government Gazette No.1).
