Local Laws
Local laws govern activities on land that is owned or managed by the EMRC, as well as certain activities conducted on private land.
Local laws have the status of legislation and are enforceable.
Local laws must be reviewed every eight years.
Meeting Procedures Local Law 2023
The Meeting Procedures Local Law makes provisions about the rules that apply to the conduct of meetings of the Councils and its Committees. The effect of the local law is to result in better decision making by the Council and its Committees, the orderly conduct of meetings, better understanding of the process of conducting meetings and more efficient and effective use of time at meetings. This is a consolidated local law which incorporates amendments gazetted on 26 June 2023 (Government Gazette No. 83).

Waste Management Facilities Local Law 2020
The Waste Management Facilities Local Law provides for the orderly regulation of the disposal of waste and the payment of fees for that disposal at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility and the Hazelmere Resource Recovery Park. This is a consolidated local law which incorporates amendments gazetted on 6 January 2021 (Special Gazette No.4).
