Sustainability
The Sustainability area consists of three teams responsible for Natural Environment, Urban Environment and Waste Education.
The core focus of the Urban Development team is to work with the EMRC's member Councils and regional stakeholders to stimulate economic development in Perth's Eastern Region. Key strategies and actions seek to create economic growth and employment opportunities; increase investment in infrastructure; plan and advocate for alternative modes of transport, such as cycling, walking and public transport; and facilitate regional cultural and recreational activities.
The Urban Environment team is guided by three strategic documents.

The Regional Events program is delivered under the Regional Economic Development Strategy.
